The Fans of Oregon Hill Parks (FOOHP) volunteer group supports the green spaces in Richmond, Virginia’s historic Oregon Hill neighborhood. One of the city’s oldest intact neighborhoods featuring tree-lined streets fronting colorful Italianate row houses, Oregon Hill hosts numerous natural spaces serving a variety of purposes, including Holly Street Playground, Robert Pleasants Park, Oregon Hill Linear Park, Riverside Park, the Oregon Hill Community Garden, and the Idlewood rotary park, as well as the sprawling (private) Hollywood Cemetery, the final resting place for many prominent Richmond residents and home to some of the largest trees in the city. Fans of Oregon Hill Parks’ mission is to steward and strengthen Oregon Hill’s these green spaces for lasting health, sustainability, and shared public enjoyment.
